The wiki serves several purposes. One section organizes and bundles documentation of the committees of our association. Another section is a knowledge bank used by groups that study different subjects who store their organisational information, sources and books and references in the wiki. Also records of talks, conferences and lectures organised by C.S.R. are stored. A last section contains sets of information pages about subjects that are relevant for our members.

The committees has each there own namespaces, with write permissions. Some parts are exclusive for the organizing peoples, most is open for all sign-on users. Authentication is first done by LDAP, either today by a custom authentication backend that uses the authentication stuff of the main site.

The simple setup, the acls, the handy plugins makes the DokuWiki software a perfect fit for our purposes.
