This backend can be used if you want to use Dokuwiki together with a corporate LDAP, but you do not have any control over the structure of the LDAP. It allows you to keep all the access data for your wiki in Dokuwiki´s plain text files and still use the corporate LDAP for authentication so your contributors will not need to memorize yet another user name and password.

**Warning:** The version linked above will only work with DokuWiki releases from "Binky" upwards. A version for "Weatherwax" can be found in the [[https://github.com/kvormweg/authldaplocal/releases|release archive]]. 

===== Installation =====

Search and install the plugin using the [[plugin:extension|Extension Manager]]. Refer to [[:Plugins]] on how to install plugins manually.

Set the ''authtype'' setting to ''authldaplocal'' through the Dokuwiki [[:plugin:config|configuration Manager]]. See the [[http://www.tuhh.de/~psvkv/dokuwiki/ldaplocal.html|plugin homepage]] for configuration instructions and examples.
