The GlocalFocal wiki is used to document global issues. It is structured by issue and then geographical area. It is open to the public to read and user registration is required to edit. I like many things about dokuwiki including easy to learn and use, great documentation, a good user community, and the whole plugin thing (many available and they are easy to use and create). Something special about my setup is that visitors can use a google map on the Explore pages and drill down geographically into an issue. This feature will pull in the wiki data associated with the issue and geographic area of interest even though they are not on the wiki.
