Discussion
After the plugin is installed, what is the proper syntax to render the html5? - Adam Molner 4/20/2015 12:42 p.m EST
There is no syntax, this is a render plugin, it should work automatically after you've selected “HTML5 (plugin)” for the renderer_xhtml config option.
But there is a bug in the plugin. The getFormat()
method needs to return xhtml
(and not html5
). After changing that it worked for me. — Anika Henke 2015-04-26 14:25
Misleading name and description
I find the name and description of this plugin very misleading. The only thing this plugin does is substituting the section <div>
s with <section>
s (and creating invalid HTML in the process due to mismatched number of elements) and changing all headings to <h1>
s. That's about 0.01% of what HTML5 is about and not necessarily what you would want… — Anika Henke 2015-04-26 13:40
I now changed the original description (“HTML 5 Renderer”) to something more descriptive. — Anika Henke 2015-04-26 14:41
